Congress Completes 5 Years in power, No Anti-Congress Wave in Karnataka – Siddaramaiah

Mangaluru: CM Siddaramaiah participated in the Karnataka Manifesto releasing programme at the T M A Pai Hall here on April 27.

AICC President Rahul Gandhi released the manifesto on the occasion. He appreciated the good governance given by Siddaramaiah which is an example for the entire country.

Addressing the gathering CM Siddaramaiah said, “I would like to thank Rahul Gandhi for releasing the Karnataka Manifesto 2018-2023, normally the state-level leaders release the state manifesto but this is the first time AICC President has released the manifesto which is history. Every political party releases its manifesto and promises various development schemes. But there is a difference between the Congress and other parties. Other parties throw the manifesto to the dustbin after the elections once they come to power. But the Congress party according to the election Manifesto prepares and presents the budget.”

Siddaramaiah further said, “In the last five years I have presented 6 budgets and we have fulfilled 99% of the promises in five years. We have completed five years in Karnataka without corruption. There is no Anti-Congress wave in Karnataka which proves that the Congress has given transparent governance to the people of Karnataka and it is a great achievement. The Karnataka government compared to the other 31 states is in number one place. In the Agricultural Produce Market Committee (APMC) we have done online marketing, We have 165 APMC’s and in 159 of the AMPC’s we have online marketing. The Union agriculture minister had visited Karnataka and ordered the agriculture ministry to follow the model of Karnataka during the Union budget. The Niti Ayog had prepared a report and according to their report after implementing the online marketing farmers have increased 38% profit”.

Siddaramaiah also said, “BJP is giving negative publicity for Karnataka saying that Gujrat is number one. In 2013 when we came to power our position in investments was 13th but in two years, we jumped to number one position. In Karnataka there is job creation, the law and order situation is stable. If the law and order situation had collapsed people wouldn’t have invested in Karnataka. The BJP is lying, they even say that 23 BJP workers were murdered but in reality, only 11 BJP workers were killed and the other 12 were not related to BJP, even then they were not involved in communal violence. BJP is playing politics on dead bodies, those who do not have humanity they indulge in such politics. In DK, Udupi and Uttara Kannada Modi has opened experiment labs but in the last elections out of the 19 assembly seats, BJP won only 4 seats and the Congress won 13 seats. I salute the people of DK and Udupi because BJP tried to spread communal violence in the district but you have stood firm with us so I would like to salute you people. Veerappa Moily had visited all the districts and collected the opinion of the people on how Karnataka should be to make Nava Karnataka and what are the measures to be taken. This is the manifesto of the people of Karnataka and whatever the promises made in the manifesto we are committed to honour them by fulfilling all our promises.

AICC President Rahul Gandhi, KPCC President Dr G Parameshwar, Janardhan Poojary, Vishnunath, K C Venugopal, Veerappa Moily, Mallikarjuna Kharge and others were also present.
