Congress Govt Most Corrupt, Under Yeddyurappa leadership Karnataka will See Golden Era – Dharmendra Pradhan

Mangaluru: “The election campaign has already begun. Candidates are filing their nominations, April 24 will be the last date to file the nominations and April 27 the last date to withdraw the nominations. This election is an important one for the people of Karnataka because they want a change in the government. The present Congress government is the most corrupt and from the past five years, there is lack of development work in Karnataka. We are sure of winning the elections and Yeddyurappa will be the chief minister of Karnataka and under his leadership, Karnataka will prosper”, said the Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan in a press meet held at the BJP office here on April 21.

Addressing the mediapersons Dharmendra Pradhan said, “The people of this state want good governance in Karnataka. The Congress leaders in Karnataka since the last five years have put development in the back seat. Though the 14th finance commission has given a lot of resources to Karnataka, due to lack of vision, nepotism and lot of corruption, the Congress government could not take advantage of it. Corruption of the Congress government will be the main issue in this election. Under the able leadership of B S Yeddyurappa Karnataka will see a Golden Era. This is our election agenda and strategy.”

When asked about negligence in addressing the issue of rapes of small girls Dharmendra Pradhan said, “The prime minister has taken a strong decision in punishing the rape accused. Modi’s cabinet has taken a stringent decision to punish the rape accused. This is a social heinous issue and Modi has brought the law to deal with it for the first time in the country.”

When asked about the hike in petrol price which is not addressed by the Petroleum minister, Dharmendra said, “Petrol hike is not corruption. There are certain reasons for the hike in petrol price. It is a geopolitical issue and even Trump has lashed out at the oil exporting group OPEC for hiking in fuel price. It is not in our hands, it is a Geopolitical issue.”

MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, Dr Mahendra Singh, Capt Ganesh Karnik, Sulochana G K Bhat, Capt Brijesh Chowta, Kishore Rai, Jitendra Kottari, Ravishankar Mijar, Sanjay Prabhu, Rajesh Kottari and others were also present.
