COVID-19: No Lockdown in Udupi District but Borders to be Sealed down for Next 14 days

Udupi: Amid the coronavirus pandemic the Udupi district administration has decided to seal down all its borders for the next 14 days.

The decision was taken in a meeting chaired by the deputy commissioner G Jagadeesh on July 14 at the DC office. The meeting was attended by the MLA and officials of the district.

The district administration has given time until July 15, 8:00 pm for all those who want to travel to other districts or enter the Udupi district.

MLA Raghupathi Bhat, Sunil Kumar, Lalaji R Mendon, Halady Srinivas Shetty, Sukumar Shetty, SP Vishnuvardhan and ZP CEO Preethi Gehlot were also present for the meeting.

The official announcement will be made by the deputy commissioner in the evening.
