CPI(M) Stages Protest Against 1 crore Announcement on Pinarayi’s head

Mangaluru: The CPI(M) staged a protest in front of the DC office here on March 3 against the statement of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief of Ujjain, Kundan Chandrawat who announced a bounty of Rs 1 crore on Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s head.

Addressing the protesters CPI(M) leader Vasanth Achary said, “People of the country have now come to know what is fascism, if we will not stop fascism now, our country will not remain as India. Narendra Modi is a reflection of Fascism and the people are now realizing it. According to the constitution, in this country, every person has the right to go to any state, district or village and do business as he /she wishes. Those who are ruling the country should respect the constitution and follow it. The people of Kerala elected Pinarayi Vijayan as their chief minister. When Pinarayi become the CM, RSS and the Sangh Parivar were shocked. Pinarayi exposed the work of the RSS and the Sangh Parivar.”

Vasanth further said, “The people who killed Gandhiji, are the same people who have announced Rs 1 crore to behead Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan. The prime minister is not raising his voice against such announcement. When Modi was the chief minister of Gujarat many people were killed. Now after Modi has become the prime minister Dalits and students from the minority communities have been killed by the RSS and Sangh Parivar. On February 25, when Pinarayi Vijayan was to visit Mangaluru to attend the Communal harmony rally, the RSS and Sangh Parivar called for a voluntary bandh and at the same time threatened people to shut down their businesses. The RSS is dangerous, they decide what dress the people should wear, what food they should eat and where they should go”.

Vasanth also said, “To unite the people we had organized the communal harmony rally, but the Sangh Parivar set the CPM office on fire. They called for a bandh on February 25, they threatened to stop Pinarayi’s vehicle if he comes by car , threatened to gherao Bajpe airport if Pinarayi comes by flight and also threatened to protest at the Mangaluru central railway station if he comes by train to deliver a speech on communal harmony at the Nehru Maidan. Pinarayi came, delivered his speech and left. Shame on MP Nalin Kumar Kateel because being an MP his duty was to welcome the Chief Minister of Kerala, instead the Sangh Parivar set our banners on fire, they forcibly shut businesses in Mangaluru, they stopped the buses from plying but the CPI(M) volunteers attended the rally in large numbers. The CPI(M) volunteers came by foot, came on their own vehicles and joined the rally. We the CPI(M) members are brave like our leader Pinarayi Vijayan. After the rally, the Sangh Parivar threatened our volunteers by sending messages through WhatsApp. In Ujjain, the RSS leader says if CPI(M) has killed three hundred people in Kerala, we are ready to kill 3 lakh people. He should be arrested and severe action should be taken against him for his statement. Law should be equal to all. Pinarayi Vijayan said that he will travel throughout the country, he is not afraid of any threats. We are also brave like Pinarayi, we are also not afraid of RSS or the threats from the Sangh Parivar,” said Vasanth.

Sunil Kumar Bajal, Santhosh Bajal, Jayanthi, Yogish Jappinnamogeru, Vasudev Uchil, Dayanand Shetty and others were also present.
