CPM office fire incident, Protesters March in Thokkottu Streets

Ullal: The CPM members staged a protest against setting fire to the CPM office at Thokkottu here on February 23.

CPM members marched in a procession in Thokkottu and demanded the arrest of the miscreants who have set the CPM office on fire.

Speaking to mangalorean.com Sunil Kumar Bajal said, “This is a desperate act allegedly by the Sangh Parivar. We condemn this act, whoever has set the CPM office on fire should be dealt with the full force of the law. There is a huge response to the communal harmony rally which will be held on February 25, but the Sangh Parivar has shown their frustration by calling for a voluntary bandh on that day. They are trying to stop the people from taking part in the programme by calling for a bandh”.

Sunil Kumar further said, “We have insisted the district administration and the police department to provide security to hold the communal harmony rally on February 25. The police department and the district administration has assured us of providing full security. The Communal Harmony Rally will be held and the Chief minister of Kerala Pinarayi Vijayan will take part in the programme.”
