Dakshina Kannada Set for yet Another Lockdown from July 16 – Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary

Mangaluru: The Dakshina Kannada district is all set for another lockdown from July 16.

Coronavirus positive cases in the district have rapidly increased from the past 15 days. To stop the virus from spreading further, enforcing a lockdown is the only solution. After the video conference with the Chief Minister, the district minister in-charge of Kota Srinivas Poojary in a video message has said that from July 16, it is necessary to impose a lockdown in the district to contain the virus from spreading further.

Kota Srinivas further said, “During the video conference with the CM along with DC Sindhu and MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, the CM said that every district should decide whether there is a need for a lockdown. If there is a need, the district administration should take all the precautionary measures to contain the virus”.

Kota Srinivas also said, “The deputy commissioner will set the guidelines for the lockdown. People have two more days to buy all the essentials. From Thursday, July 16, the district will be locked down for a week. I urge the people of Dakshina Kannada to co-operate in this regard.”
