Dist Police make Alternative Arrangements for Public Service as 3 Cops Test Positive for Coronavirus
Udupi: With regard to the positive cases reported in Udupi district among three of the police personnel, the department has taken precautionary measures in the district on May 24.
In a press release issued by the district police, it has been stated that the high risk and low-risk contacts are being tracked and tabulated, which will take some more time. Police stations will be subjected to sanitisation and will start operating shortly.
For all the three police stations, alternative arrangements are made in government buildings close to the police stations to continue their work. Ajekar station will be functioning at the Anganwadi school on the main road. Karkala Police station will be functioning in the Pura Sabha Bhavan (opposite to DSP Karkala office), and the Brahmavar police station will be functioning Adjacent to the old building behind the police station. Due to such arrangements, the work of the police department will not be hampered. The public can approach the above places whenever necessary.
Arrangements have been made by sourcing staff/ officers within the sub-division to work in the affected police station limits. Three of the Coronavirus positive police personnel have been shifted to the TMA Pai hospital.
