Udupi: The District BJP celebrated the appointment of B S Yeddyurappa as State president at the Clock Tower here on April 8.
BJP activists gathered at the Clock Tower and shouted pro-BJP and Pro-Modi Slogans and distributed sweets. Party workers also busted crackers.
Speaking on the occasion Thingale Vikramarjuna Hegde district BJP Chief lauded the decision of National level leaders and said that Yeddyurappa has displayed strong leadership qualities and carved his identity at the state as well as national level.
BJP will sweep the forthcoming elections in the state. The People of Karnataka are fed up with the state congress government and are looking up for the BJP to come to power. In regard to the appointment of Yeddyurappa as chief of State BJP, Thingale assured that with this decision the BJP will sweep the forthcoming elections in the state.
Former district BJP Chief Uday Kumar Shetty, ZP member Gitanjali Suvarna, Mattar Rathnakar Hegde, Suresh Nayak, Suresh Shetty Gurme, Kuthyar Naveen Shetty, Rashmitha Balakrishna and others were also present.
