Dr. Tauseef Ahmed Honoured with National Excellency Award for Outstanding Animal Welfare Service
Mangaluru: Renowned animal rescuer Dr. Tauseef Ahmed has been honoured with the prestigious National Excellency Award in the category of “Outstanding Animal Rescue and Welfare Service Award 2026” by the Swarna Bharat Foundation, Bengaluru.
The award was presented at Kannada Sahitya Parishat in Bengaluru as part of the 80th Independence Day celebrations. This marks Dr. Tauseef Ahmed’s third national recognition for his dedicated service to animal welfare.
Over the past 15 years, Dr. Tauseef has rescued and saved more than 26,000 animals from the streets of Mangaluru and surrounding areas. His tireless efforts in rescuing and caring for animals have earned him widespread recognition and appreciation for his humanitarian service.
