Easter Celebrated at St Therese Church Salmiya

Kuwait: Hundreds of Catholic faithful gathered at the St Therese of Child Jesus Church, Salmiya on Saturday, April 20 to observe the Easter Vigil on the eve of Easter Sunday along with the visiting Priest from Mangaluru Fr Roopesh Madtha.

The candlelight ceremonies included the blessing of the Paschal candle and blessing of fire and holy water.

In his homily, Fr Roopesh said that our God is a living God and requested all those gathered to be firm in their faith. He narrated 10 points about the resurrection of Jesus. Psalms and melodious hymns were sung by the Konkani Choir led by Kiran Gonsalves.

Parish Priest Fr Blany Pinto thanked the visiting priest Fr Roopesh for his month-long service in conducting retreats in Kuwait as well as helping the faithful in nourishing their faith.
