Entry for Interstate Fish Trucks to DK Banned – Minister Kota Srinivas

Mangaluru: Due to the rise in the spread of COVID-19 in the district and to maintain social distancing, interstate fish transporting Trucks have been banned from entering Dakshina Kannada district”, said the District minister In-charge Kota Srinivas Poojary in a press statement.

On April 27, the district minister in-charge Kota Srinivas Poojary instructed Deputy Commissioner Sindhu Roopesh to issue an order banning the entry of all fish transporting vehicles from other states into the district.

Kota Srinivas Poojary said, “The Mangaluru Fish Market has a problem in following social distancing. Positive cases of COVID-19 are also increasing in the district. To contain the spread of COVID-19, the entry of all fish transporting vehicles to Dakshina Kannada has been banned”.
