Exit Congress-Enter BJP! Former Congress Spokesperson Harikrishna Bantwal to join BJP during Parivarthana Rally. “Now I will be in BJP, earlier also I was with BJP (B Janardhan Poojary)” -Harikrishna Bantwal joked.

Mangaluru: Addressing the media persons, Former Congress Spokesperson revealed that he has decided to join BJP during the ‘Parivarthana Rally’ on November 11 at Nehru Maidan around 6 pm. Bantwal who was a close aide of Senior Congress leader Janardhan Poojary is all set to severe his nearly 35 years of association with congress and join BJP. Recently Harikrishna Bantwal had some bitter relationships with Minister Ramanath Rai, and was against the functioning of the current Congress Party.

“I will be joining the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) along with hundreds,could be thousands of my supporters. I don’t want to expect anything from BJP leadership, because for 35 years being in Congress I had never lobbied for any post. Now I will be in BJP, earlier also I was with BJP (B Janardhan Poojary”, said Harikrishna Bantwal jokingly.

Recently he had lashed out at Minister Ramanath Rai regarding some issues of land grabbing by Rai, which actually belonged to the government to be donated to the poor. But according to Bantwal, he had said that Rai had illegally acquired acres of land in his wife’s name- actually under two different names of his wife. “Sanctioning a government land without any records, is it not a fraud?” questioned Bantwal. If my allegations are baseless, let Rai file a defamation case against me”, Bantwal challenged.
