Fake Facebook ID of SP Malpe Coastal Security Police Created
Udupi: Fraudsters have created a fake Facebook ID of SP of Malpe Coastal Security Police and sent requests to many people.
According to CSP SP Chethan R, the Facebook account was created on September 18 morning in the name of S P Singh. When friends informed him about the same, he immediately informed the Udupi and Bengaluru Cyber Crime Police and also Facebook officials to block the fake Facebook account.
The cyber police are now investigating the case.
Recently many Fake Facebook accounts have been created in the name of police officers and misused. Many cases have been reported in Belthangady, Dakshina Kannada District in the last two-three days. Until now, fraudsters were creating fake Facebook ID of common people. But now they have started to target the police.
Fraudsters created a fake ID in the name of the SP of the Coastal Security Police and have sent friend requests to many people.
