Father Muller Medical College Hospital holds Children’s Day
Mangaluru: The department of Pediatrics celebrated children’s day on 14th November 2019. The day started off with drawing competition for the children admitted in the ward. Drawing sheets and stationery were provided by the department to all children. Dr. Saritha Paul judged the brilliant demonstration of creativity and the winners were given attractive prizes.
In the afternoon a talent show was conducted in the conference hall. Approximately 30 children took part to showcase various talents such as singing, dancing, fancy dress and story telling. The competition was graced by Rev. Fr Ajith Menezes (Administrator), Dr. Jayaprakash Alva (Dean FMMC), Dr. Sanjeev Rai (Chief of Research, FMCI), Sr. Janet D’Souza (CNO) and Dr. Pavan Hegde (Prof and Head, Paediatrics). The judges for the event were Dr. Nicole Pereira and Ms. Sonia Sequeira, who had the most challenging roles for the day to decide the winners.
Fr. Ajith Menezes, Administrator, Father Muller Medical College, addressed the audience of over a hundred and reminded us the essence of children’s day. After the competition, high tea was served and all the children were given gifts and goodies.
On 15th November, in continuation with the children’s day celebration, the staff and students conducted fun games at Chethana Special school. All the children there were given gifts and snacks as well.
