Former Batman to appear on ‘The Big Bang Theory’

Los Angeles, Feb 5 (IANS) Actor Adam West, who played the title role in the 1960s live action TV series “Batman”, will appear as himself in the upcoming 200th episode of popular sitcom “The Big Bang Theory”.

The special episode is scheduled to go on air on February 25, reports aceshowbiz.com.

The said episode will also feature some familiar faces such as Barry Kripke (John Ross Bowie), Leonard’s mother doctor Beverly Hofstadter (Christine Baranski), Leonard and Howard’s former flame Leslie (Sara Gilbert) and Sheldon’s arch nemesis Wil Wheaton.

Plot details of the 200th episode have been currently kept under wraps.

West is joining a roster of the show’s special guest stars, including Bob Newhart, Stan Lee, George Takei, Katee Sackhoff, Leonard Nimoy, Stephen Hawking and Summer Glau.

Kate Hudson has weight fluctuations

Actress Kate Hudson may seem all fit and fine, but she says she has never been able to keep her weight consistent for a long period of time.

“I have fluctuated (in weight) my whole life. I fluctuate at least five pounds every month,” people.com quoted Hudson as saying.

“I really want to reach people that are asking, ‘How do I get there?'” she added.

The 36-year-old, who has been dieting for years, feels that while body shape is important, but it’s not everything.

“It’s about health and mindfulness. Because you can have the greatest body and you can be really unhappy if that’s all you’re working toward,” she said.

“I think we’ve put so much focus on the results that everybody is forgetting to enjoy the process. And really the only way you can get there in a way that is meaningful is if you enjoy it. And everybody has a different way of finding out what that is,” Hudson added.

No more kids for Mariah Carey?

Singer Mariah Carey has refused that she will plan babies with her fiance James Packer as she feels her children will be “jealous”.

Carey and her billionaire partner are expected to marry soon following their engagement last month, but she is has said they won’t be adding any little ones to their brood as it won’t be fair on her four-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe, whom she has with her former husband Nick Cannon, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

Asked if she and Packer will be having any children together, Mariah said: “No, those (Moroccan and Monroe) are my two babies and I think they will get too jealous.”

In order to prevent too much disruption for her twins, the 45-year-old says she and Packer, 48, don’t have any plans to relocate to his native Australia any time soon and are keen to base themselves mainly in California.

Kerry Katona plans unusual wedding gift for friend

Singer Kerry Katona says she her wedding gift to her friend Natasha Hamilton will be the number of a divorce lawyer!

Katona, 36, who split from her third husband George Kay last year, doesn’t know if the couple will need the legal advice in the future, but if they do split, she will be on hand to help her Atomic Kitten bandmate, reports mirror.co.uk.

Asked what she will get them as a wedding gift, Katona told new! magazine: “The number of a good divorce lawyer. I’m not saying they will need it, but if the time comes, I’m an expert. I should become a lawyer myself, the amount of times I’ve been in and out of court.”

Katona, who has children Molly, 14, Lilly-Sue, 12, Heidi, eight, Max, seven, and 22-month-old Dylan-Jorge from various relationships, says she is currently happy being single but does miss having an adult conversation.

“I’m happy on my own. I’m in love with myself at the minute. I’m still learning how to love me, how I should be loved and to respect myself,” she said.

Asked if she misses having a male companion, she said: “It’s not about a male, I miss a grown-up conversation. There’s only so much you can talk to kids about. I FaceTime my mum a lot. She’s down at the moment, helping out.”

Jessica Alba has ‘excessive’ denims

 Actress Jessica Alba says she has an “excessive” collection of denims as she wears so much of it.

“Oh, girl! I have all of it. I probably have two full racks of denim and each hanger is doubled up. It’s excessive. It’s next-level. I wear so much of it,” Alba told Vogue magazine, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

Alba, who has seven-year-old Honor and four-year-old Haven with husband Cash Warren, had earlier said she believes fashion is empowering.

“Unlimited fashion choices means being open and willing to wear things that make you feel good. Having unlimited choices means women never have to compromise. It’s that feeling of empowerment, knowing that the choice is always yours. It means women can be the best versions of themselves every day,” she said.

“I love fashion and being able to express myself through my style. I’m all about being prepared and on top of my beauty routine, so I always make sure I have smooth skin, which means I never have to feel limited by my wardrobe choices,” she added.

Getting fame was painful: David Schwimmer

Former “Friends” star David Schwimmer says it was “painful” for him to find fame as he didn’t understand why people were treating him “special”.

“I didn’t understand why people were treating me as if I were special, and I found that painful because I hadn’t changed, and I didn’t like the idea of it. I didn’t like the idea that someone could suddenly get special treatment for doing nothing other than being on TV. I just didn’t like the idea of it,” Schwimmer said in a statement.

Schwimmer is playing the character of American attorney and businessman Robert Kardashian in the American true crime anthology television series series “The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story”.

Robert, who died due to esophageal cancer in 2003, was the father of reality TV personalities Kourtney, Kim, Khloé and Rob Kardashian.

The 10-episode series will explore the chaotic behind-the-scenes dealings and manoeuvring on both sides of the court, and how a combination of prosecution overconfidence, defence shrewdness and the Los Angeles Police Department history with the city’s African-American community gave a jury what it needed: reasonable doubt.

Along with Schwimmer, the show features a star-studded cast with Cuba Gooding Jr. as O.J. Simpson, John Travolta as Robert Shapiro, Sarah Paulson as Marcia Clark, Selma Blair as Kris Jenner, Billy Magnussen as Kato Kaelin and Courtney B Vance as Johnnie Cochran.

“The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story” will go on air in India on Star World Premiere HD on Monday.
