Former Mangalorean.com Contributor Dots Rego (nee D’Souza) Passes Away in Chicago
Chicago, USA: Dorothy “Dotty Bai” Rego (nee D’Souza), a former contributor to Mangalorean.com and a cherished member of the Mangalorean community in Chicago, passed away on September 21 after battling cancer. She was 71.
Dorothy was the daughter of the late Gaulbert and Rose D’Souza. She was the loving wife of Godwin Rego, the devoted mother of Gail and Gwayne, and the sister of Austin D’Souza Prabhu/Theresa, Norbert, Melville/Merlyn, Stany/Vissia, Felix/Lorraine, and Queenie/Jossie.
She was also a beloved sister-in-law to Janet and the late Harold, Melwin/Mabel, Mariette/Frank, Lynette/Jossy, the late Annette and Sanjay, the late Veenet-Walter, the late Alwyn and Roopa, Charlotte/Austin, and Shanthi/Christopher.
