Forty Hours of Perpetual Adoration at St Joseph Vaz Shrine-Mudipu
Mangaluru: Forty hours of perpetual adoration began yesterday evening 3rd April 2019 with great devotion in St Joseph Vaz Shrine Mudipu. The inaugural Eucharistic celebration was presided over by V. Rev. Fr J.B. Saldanha, the dean of Mangalore South deanery. In his homily he gave a bird’s eye on how did the devotion of Eucharistic adoration evolve down the ages. He gave a call to pray specially for the forthcoming elections, for our youth and also for our families.
After the mass he along with the clergy, religious and laity of Permannur parish conducted adoration which made people to get into a prayerful mood. About 600 people took part in the adoration. The conclusion of this devotion will be on Friday 5th April at 11.00 am. Most Rev. Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza, Bishop Emeritus of Mangaluru will give the benediction and celebrate the mass which will be followed by novena and meals to all pilgrims.
