Generator Catches Fire at Attur St Lawrence Basilica
Karkala: A generator which was kept in front of the gate suddenly caught fire at Attur St Lawrence Basilica, Karkala on Sunday, January 27 night.
According to the sources on Sunday night a generator which was placed in front of the Basilica gate caught fire. The locals who noticed alerted the Fire Service officer. The fire brigade vehicle which was placed at the Basilica premises rushed to the spot and doused the fire. The generator was totally gutted in the fire
Primary investigations have revealed that the generator may have caught fire due to a short circuit.
The annual feast of St Lawrence Basilica will be held on 26, 27, 28, 29 and 30 January 2020.
