German Delegates visit St Aloysius Industrial Training Institute
Mangaluru: Foreign delegates from Germany visited St. Aloysius Industrial Training Institute on 29th Feb 2020. A program was organised in their honour. The programme commenced by inaugurating the newly bought tools and Equipment in the Mechanic Diesel Workshop and was blessing by Rev. Fr Dr. Leo D’Souza SJ, former director of the institution.
Anneliese Klinkhammer, Gisela Schmitten, Kaspar & Gertrud Wirtz and Liesel Meyer from Germany were the dignitaries. The formal programme commenced by a prayer song. A beautiful welcome dance was presented by Sewing Technology students. Later Roshan D’Souza, Principal escorted the dignitaries to the dais. Rev. Fr Cyril D’mello SJ, Director of the institution extended a cordial welcome to the dignitaries and honoured them with a Shawl and Garland.
Addressing the students one of the guest’s, Mrs. Anneliese Klinkhammer said ”We have been associated with this institution from a long time. We conduct some activities like selling of books, eatables, calendars, etc at our hometown and send the proceedings to help the under privileged students in India”. She also encouraged the students to make use of the opportunity being presented by the institution and become self reliant.
Roshan D’Souza, Principal proposed the vote of thanks. Robin Vas, Junior Training Officer compered the programme. The programme was concluded by National Anthem .
