Going to Kuwait this Sunday onward? Carry a health certificate saying you are coronavirus free

New Delhi: Indians, and some other foreign nationals like Bangladeshis and Sri Lankans, travelling to Kuwait will from March 8 need to carry a health certificate saying they are “free for coronavirus” issued by health centres approved by Kuwait embassies to be allowed entry there.

Persons required to carry this certificate going to Kuwait without the same will be deported on the same airline they flew in and the carrier will be fined for violating circular issued by the state of Kuwait’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) on Tuesday.

“According to instructions by the health authority in the State of Kuwait regarding outbreak of coronavirus, all passengers from confirming that they are free from coronavirus (COVID-19), before entering the territory of the State of Kuwait issued by health centres approved by the embassy of the State of Kuwait in the countries mentioned above, and in the absence of a Kuwaiti embassy in these countries it will be approved by the certified health authority of the country,” the Kuwait DGCA circular says.

“In the event that the above (PCR) certificate is not carried, the passenger is prevented from entering the State of Kuwait and will be deported on the same carrier airline, without any financial costs incurred by the State of Kuwait, and the airline company will be fined for violating this circular. The citizens of the State of Kuwait are exempt from the above circular, and the procedures in force at Kuwait International Airport by the health authority are applied to them. This circular shall be applied from March 8, 2020, until further notice,” it adds.
