Groom-to-be Dies in hit-and-run case at Kundapur
Kundapur: A 30-year-old groom-to-be died in a hit-and-run case on NH – 66 near Shalebagilu, Uppunda here on April 23.
The deceased has been identified as Ganesh (31), a resident of K B Road, Bhatkal. Pillion rider Geeta has sustained minor injuries.
According to sources, On April 23, Ganesh and pillion rider his mother Geetha were on their way to Padukone on the two-wheeler to invite relatives to Ganesh’s wedding, near Shalebagilu a car hit the two-wheeler throwing both of them to the road. Severely injured Ganesh was rushed to a hospital in Kundapur where he was administered first aid and taken to another hospital in Udupi for treatment but unfortunately, Ganesh breathed his last on the way.
Ganesh’s marriage was scheduled on April 28 at Shiroor. Ganesh was working in Dubai and had recently come to his native place and had purchased a new pulsar bike.
A case has been registered in Byndoor police station.
