Also addressing the media persons, JF D’Souza said, “These days writing books is easy, but making people buy them has been very hard. There is a lack of readers these days, no one wants to purchase books. Everyone wants to browse through the internet for stories, poems, news etc. If I make up my mind I have ready material available to publish nearly 8-10 books. But I will wait before I make a decision to bring out more of my books. I am happy that finally after much thoughts, that I have launched my 11th book. At first I wrote articles to Konkani magazines, mainly comedy, and questions and answers. Jo Sa Alvares supported me and I regularly took guidance from him. He is the reason I started writing. I did not start writing to win recognition or awards, I started writing because my brothers too used to write. I thank everyone for their support.”
