Mangaluru: Harshit, a II-year PU student from St Aloysius College, is reported to have gone missing from the hostel since March 12.

On that day, his father M H Krishnegowda had phoned him from his hometown Hassan around 5-25 am that day to enquire how he had fared in the examination. He reportedly told his father that it was tough.

The father called him again around 8-45 pm, instead of Harshit, his room-mate Pavan picked the call and said that Harshit had gone out of the hostel around 6 pm, leaving his mobile phone behind and had not returned.

Since nothing is known about his whereabouts thereafter, Krishnegowda arrived in the city and filed a complaint at the Bunder police station. Fright of examination is thought to be the reason for his going missing.

Standing 5’3” tall, Harshit is of fair complexion and medium bodyline. At the time of leaving, he wore white trousers and a cement-grey coloured T-shirt.

Those knowing his whereabouts are requested to contact the city police commissioner’s office on +91 824 2220514 or Bunder police station on +91 824 2220516 or sub-inspector on +91 94808 02338.
