Hoax Bomb Threat to Mangaluru International Airport

Mangaluru: The Mangaluru International Airport has received a hoax bomb call on August 19.

A person had called the former airport director Vasudev and threatened of planting a bomb at the airport. Vasudev immediately informed the airport authorities about the call.  Immediately, the airport authorities and the CISF got into action and the bomb disposal team subsequently found that it was a hoax call.

Airport Director, Venkateshwara Rao filed a complaint in the Bajpe Police station.  According to the police, the caller’s mobile number has been traced, and the police are trying to nab the accused.

A case has been registered at the Bajpe Police station under Cr.No. 111/2020 u/s 505 b,507 IPC & u/s 3(1)(d) of Suppression of Unlawful Acts against the Safety of Civil Aviation Act, 1982.
