Hundreds of Devotees Partake in ‘Sri Jagannath Rathayatra’ hosted by Iskcon-Sri Jagannath Mandir Kudupukatte

 Mangaluru: The International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON)- Kudupukatte, Mangaluru celebrated the Sri Jagannatha Rathotsava festival for the 14th time in Mangaluru. The highlight of the programme was the participation of hundreds of devotees from around the world. Speaking to Team Mangalorean, Srirama Das-President of ISKCON- Kudupukatte said, “It is explained in Brahmanda Purana that those who watch the Rathotsava parade, those who stand up to welcome the Ratha with reverence, all of them are freed from sinful reactions and they attain the kingdom of God”

The Rathotsava started at 3.30 p.m. on Saturday the 30th January 2020, from C.V. Nayak Hall, near Bunts Hostel Circle, and proceeded via Jyothi Circle, Hampankatta, K. S. Rao Road, City Centre, P.V.S Circle and culminated at C.V. Nayak Hall, at 7 pm. Large number of devotees participated in this glorious event with their family and friends and experienced the divine bliss. A bevy of foreigners also took part in the Ratha.

After reaching back at CV Nayak Hall, at 7-15 p.m. there was Harinam Sankirthan ( Bhajan and Kirtan) and Pravachana, and at 8 p.m. Maha Arathi followed by Mahaprasad. Dignitary and special Guests for the occasion were His grace Haripad Prabhu (ISKCON Senior preacher); H.G. Parampara Das (ISkcon senior preacher); H.G. Acarya Das President All India ISKCON Padayatra
