ICS Qualifying Exams – 2017 Results Announced

Mangaluru: The Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers, London, announced the results of ICS Qualifying Exams for 2017 recently. For the past nine years, the Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) has been a Centre for the examinations.

Candidates in Mangalore appeared for 18 papers and successfully cleared 11 papers thus registering a pass percentage of 61% from Mangalore Centre. Ever since KCCI became an exam centre, as many as 19 candidates have passed ICS exams to be admitted as Members of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers [MICS]. It is gratifying to note that all successful candidates have been well placed in the Shipping and Maritime sectors in India and abroad.

The ICS Question Papers are set and answer sheets are evaluated in London. The KCCI is planning a course for preparing candidates for the April 2018 ICS exams from 1st week of September 2017. For the coming year, candidates can appear for Group A, Group B and Group C parts at one go at the Mangalore Centre for which logistic arrangement is being worked out.
