Mangaluru: Addressing the media personnel during a press meet held at Mangalore Press Club, Rtn. M Venkatesh Pai-President of Rotary Club of Mangalore said, ” The Rotary Club of Mangalore and Rotaract Club of SDM PG Centre for Management Studies, in association with Rotary Club of Bangalore will be organizing ” ROTOQUIZ 2016 ” to be held on Sunday, September 18, 2016 at SDM PG Centre for Management Studies & Research, MG Road Mangaluru.”
Rtn Pai furthers aid, “The winning team gets the opportunity to participate in the final round of 57th Ramnarayan Chellaram Annual Inter Collegiate Quiz – ROTOQUIZ-2016 in Bengaluru,which is one of the longest running live college quiz shows in the world. This is organised by Rotary Club of Bangalore and Rotaract Club of Bangalore on Sunday, September 26th in Bengaluru with participation from over a 100 institutions from Bengaluru and Mangaluru. This quiz is the most prestigious initiative of Rotary Club of Bangalore which is running continuously for the last 56 years.”

Details of the quiz:
Format –Written Preliminary Round followed by Semi Finals of top performing teams. The winner of these rounds will go to Bangalore. Topics for all rounds will be General Knowledge and Awareness.
Teams – Maximum of two teams, of 2 students each,will represent one college. However, only one team from a college will be selected for Semi Finals, even if more qualify.
For whom – Open to students from Std. XII or PUC 2nd Year upwards including under graduates and post graduate students from any stream from a recognised academic institution.
Prizes –
Mangalore Round: Sponsored by Ideal Ice Creams, Mangaluru
First, Second, Third place prizes are Rs.10,000.00, Rs. 5000.00, Rs. 5000.00 respectively.
Bangalore Round: Sponsored by Chellarams Jewellers, Bengaluru- In addition to the rolling shield, individual trophies and certificates, cash prizes will be:
First, Second, Third, Fourth place prizes are Rs.20,000.00, Rs.15,000.00, Rs. 7,500.00,Rs. 5000.00 respectively.
