Berlin, June 7 (IANS) Barcelona midfielder Andres Iniesta said it was impossible to describe how incredible it felt to win the European Champions League for the third time in his career on Saturday.

Barcelona overcame resilient Juventus 3-1 thanks to goals from Ivan Rakitic, Luis Suarez and Neymar who wrapped up the treble winning season for the “Blaugrana”, following the final at the Berlin Olympia stadium on Saturday. Before this, Barcelona also won the La Liga and the King’s cup in the 2014-15 season.

“I can’t ask for anything more. The three titles, finishing by winning the Champions League, I don’t have words to express my happiness,” Iniesta was quoted as saying by French television channel Canal Plus on Saturday.

“It’s all been amazing for the players, the fans, and the moments. One doesn’t know when one will experience this again. We won a treble again. We want people to enjoy this Barca team.”

Teammate Javier Mascherano said winning the trophy was like a “beautiful dream”. He was not part of the treble-winning Barcelona side of six years ago having joined the following year, was elated to lift the European crown.

“It’s amazing. Not even in the most beautiful dream would I have imagined a season like this one.”

“We have had to get through difficult moments and today we made history. We are very happy to go down in the history of this club,” the Argentine said.
