If India Got ‘Indian Premier League’ (IPL), Kudla Got ‘Comedy Premium League’ (CPL)- and this is for the FIRST time that such a Unique, Extraordinary, Hilarious, Glittering and Ultimate Comedy Show will be held in the Coastal Town/District. V4News 24X7in association with Havana Island and Vikas College, with support from various sponsors and well-wishers, including Mangalorean.com being the Media Partner is proudly hosting this mega event, with the First audition scheduled for 31 August at Karavali College-Mangaluru
Mangaluru: Mangaluru ain’t seen a glittering and glamorous ceremony like this before- and it was the Launching Ceremony of the “Realmix Comedy Premier League” which was held at Hotel Ocean Pearl-Mangaluru on Sunday, 20 August 2017. “[Humanity] has unquestionably one really effective weapon—laughter. Power, money, persuasion, supplication, persecution—these can lift at a colossal humbug—push it a little—weaken it a little, century by century, but only laughter can blow it to rags and atoms at a blast. Against the assault of laughter nothing can stand” had said, Mark Twain, and for that matter, a beaming and proud Laxman Kunder- the Managing Director of V4News said” This Ultimate Comedy Show is my Dream Come True, and I am sure that this extravaganza filled with laughter will be the best medicine for everyone who’ll patronize this show”.
‘Realmix Comedy Premier League’,(CPL) is proudly presented by V4News-24X7 in association with Vikas College-Mangaluru and Havana Island-Mangaluru, with the support of various sponsors and well-wishers, including Mangalorean.com as the media partner, and the First audition of this Ultimate Comedy Show will be held at Karavali College-Mangaluru on 31 August 2017. The Finale of this mega show will be held at Havana Island, with attractive trophies and cash prizes: Rs 1 lakh as First prize; Rs 50,000-2nd Prize; Rs 30,000-3rd Prize; Rs 20,000- 4th Prize among other prizes- a total of Rs 5 lakh.
The eight teams that will compete in this show and take the audience into the world of laughter are: “ICARE Kalavider Bidre” (Moodbidri), with owner being Ashwin Pereira of ICARE Builders, Moodbidri; “Mulki Sakshi”, owners- Krishna Shetty, Kirthan Shetty, and Dr Nidarsh Hegde, “Mangalore United Harini”, Owner- MLA Moideen Bava; “DVK Friends”, Owner-Vedavyas Kamath; “Heaven Rose Kalashri”, owner-Mustafa; “Jugari Jolly Friends”, Owner-Pammi Kodialbail and Dhanraj; “Planet G Vaishnavi”, Owners-Gurudath Kamath and Rahul Kamath; and “Glitz Kudla Kusal”, Owner-Deepthi Suvarna.
During the launching ceremony, the logo of each team was unveiled along with the Team Members and their owners, followed by a photos session. The owners, as well as a member of each team, expressed their thoughts, and everyone complimented Laxman Kunder for his initiative in organizing such a unique launching ceremony where every team had a chance to interact with each other. Floral bouquets were offered to the Team owners, including a few sponsors present during the occasion. The Team Members were also grateful to KMC-Mangaluru for offering them “Manipal Arogya Card”- and handing over of these health cards were done Rakesh and Surendra Prasad, from KMC marketing dept.
The concept and rules of ‘Comedy Premier League” is totally different from IPL, but in IPL where the batsmen score 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 by hitting the ball, here in CPL, the judges grade the comedians/participants with points 2, 4, 6 based on their comedy punchlines. Each team will perform between 12 to 15 minutes, and the team getting the highest points (112) bags the First place. So this show is all about the best comedy punches in order to win the coveted prizes. There will be the First Audition, secondly will be the Mega Audition, and Thirdly will be the Face-Off. Judges decision will be final and binding, and there will be professional judges who are experienced in the field of entertainment, movies and art.
The launching ceremony of “CPL” was graced by a large audience comprising of team members, well-wishers, ad sponsors and media persons. The programme was professionally compered by V4News anchor VJ Vineeth. Laxman Kunder thanked everyone for gracing the occasion and making it a grand and memorable one. Kudos to Laxman Kunder for his creative and unique event, the only one of its kind so far in Kudla!
