Inter Collegiate National Fest ‘Bequest’ & ‘Innovision’ at Besant College 2017-18 on 14th and 15th September 2017

Mangaluru: Addressing the media persons during a press meet held at Mangalore Press Club, Principal of Besant Women’s College-Mangaluru, Dr. Sathish Kumar Shetty said, “Besant Women’s College will be organizing a two day Inter Collegiate Student’s Talent Fest, ‘Bequest UG Fest & ‘Innovision PG Fest’ – 2017 with a theme ‘Vasudaiva Kutumbakam’ on 14th and 15th September 2017. The idea of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam is India’s contribution to World peace. Peace and harmony are inter dependent and inter connected. The fest is designed so as to bring about harmony and fellow feeling among the students.”

“Swami Jitakamanandaji, Adhyaksha, Ramakrishna Math, Mangaluru, will be inaugurating the Bequest 2017 on 14th September Thursday at 9.30 a.m. at college Auditorium. Sri. Kudpi Jagadish Shenoy, President, WNES will preside over the inaugural ceremony, K. Devananda Pai, College correspondent, Dr. Sathish Kumar Shetty. P. Principal and Dr. Meenakshi K, student welfare officer and student council president Kavyashree. will be on the dais.” added Dr Shetty.

The first day events like Plug and Play, Mangaluru Smart City Project Plan, Global Connection (Skit) Sqeez (Quiz) Utsav (Dances of Indian States), Ithihas (Depiction of Historical characters), AbhijnanaArka (Quiz on Food and Nutrition) will be held.

On 15th PG fest Innovision Manel Annappa Nayak, Vice President, WNES, will be the chief guest, while Shyamsunder Kamath, will preside over the function.

Innovision fests like Vipanikriya (Marketing), Pauruseya (Human Resource), Sabhapala (Public Relations), Maudrik (Financial analyst), Kartha (Best entrepreneur). About 20 colleges under Mangalore University are expected to take part in the student fest.
