Janaashirvada Yatra was Successful, Hobli-level Indira Canteen to Start in Thokkottu – U T Khader

Mangaluru: “On March 22, the Hobli-level Indira Canteen will be inaugurated at Permannur, near Thokkottu Bus stand. I want a beneficiary to inaugurate the Indira Canteen. This is the first Indira canteen to come up at the hobli-level. After discussions we have changed the timings of the canteen. The morning breakfast will be available from 7:00 to 9:30 am and lunch from 12:00 noon to 2:30 pm. For breakfast Idli chatni or Khara baat will be served and for lunch boiled rice, vegetables and pickle”, said the minister for Food and Civil supplies U T Khader in a press meet held at the Circuit House here on March 21.

Addressing the mediapersons U T Khader said, “The Janaashirvad Yatra was very successful. Party workers have done their best for the success of the road show. In his speech Rahul advised the party workers too forget any differences and contest the elections with a positive attitude. More than 50,000 party workers had gathered at the Nehru maidan for the Janaashirvad Yatra. We will fight the forthcoming elections with a positive attitude and win the elections with the support of our voters and the party workers.”

U T Khader further said, “The National Training Academy (Coast Guard) will be shifted to Mangaluru from Cannanore (Kannur). The state government has already identified the land for this purpose. Once the Academy will be shifted trainees from all over the country will come here for training”.

When asked whether Khader was ready to contest against the former Congressman in the forthcoming elections. U T Khader said, “I don’t see who is contesting against me. I just concentrate to win the elections. I have trust on my party workers and the voters of my constituency and I contest to win the elections.”

When asked why the party workers had misused the police vehicle during the road show U T Khader said, “It was not intentional. If anything had gone wrong during the road show I apologies through the media.”

When asked about the removal of the buntings and banners, U T Khader said, “The party workers have already started to remove the banners and buntings and soon the job will be completed.”
