JD(S) will win maximum seats in Assembly elections – District President Yogish Shetty

Udupi: Janata Dal (Secular) Udupi district president Yogish Shetty said that his party will field winning candidates in the district and will win the maximum number of seats in the Assembly elections.

Speaking to the media persons Yogish Shetty said, “on issues concerning the people of the State, both the national parties, Congress and the BJP are involved in mudslinging against each other. Only HDK and Devegowda can provide people-friendly governance catering to the needs of all sections of the society if voted to power, Janata Dal (Secular)”.

“People have started comparing the 20-month rule of Kumaraswamy in 2006-07, the five years of Congress rule and the five-year governance of BJP. If the people of Karnataka give a majority to JD(S), Kumaraswamy is committed to waiving the crop loan. From disbursing a monthly honorarium of Rs 5,000 to senior citizens and a monthly honorarium of Rs 6,000 for pregnant and lactating mothers”.

Explaining the party’s performance in Udupi district Yogish Shetty said; “in Udupi district, the party has already announced 2 candidates for Udupi and Byndoor. The party has fielded Savitha Samaj Leader, Birthi Gangadhar as Udupi assembly candidate and Labour leader Ravi Shetty as Byndoor candidate. The district committee has sent Prakash Shetty Thekkatte’s name to the Kundapur Assembly constituency and Kaup candidate will be finalised in the coming 2-3 days. In Karakala as per the high command decision JD(S) will support the BSP candidate”, he said.

Ravi Shetty, Byndoor candidate; Gangadhar Birthi Udupi Candidate; Prakash Shetty and Uday Kumar Tallur were also present in the press meet.
