Kamal meets HDK, says ready to bridge the divide on Cauvery row

Bengaluru: Tamil actor-turned-politician KamalHaasan met Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy at his official residence Krishna in Bengaluru on Monday.

At a joint press conference after the meeting, Haasan said he is ready to bridge the gap between Karnataka and TamilNadu over the contentious Cauvery river water sharing issue.

Haasan recently launched his party Makkal Needhi Maiam and plans to contest the next Assembly elections in TamilNadu.

Haasan, however, has so far not spoken about contesting the 2019 Lok Sabha polls.
