KMC Hospitals Mangaluru to conduct Free Screening for Prostatic Diseases
Mangaluru: In a bid to raise awareness on prostatic diseases among men Urology Department will be conducting free screening camp at its premises. The Free Screening camp will include Consultation, Digital Rectal Examination, Uroflowmetry, Ultrasound, Counselling & PSA Blood Test.
Dr GG Laxman Prabhu, HOD, Dept of Urology, KMC Hospitals, stated that “Prostatic screening is recommended for men above the of 40 years with or without the following Symptoms: scalding urination, straining to pass urine, frequent urination, urinary incontinence, sense of incomplete urination, blood in urine, lower backache etc”.
