KMC Mangaluru to hold ‘Head & Neck Surgicon 2019’ on May 4th and 5th

Mangaluru: The Department of ENT and the Head & Neck Surgery Unit at Kasturba Medical College (Mangaluru) will be organizing the ‘Head & Neck Surgicon 2019’ – a live surgical workshop – on May 4th and 5th, 2019.

This workshop follows the resounding success of AOIMICON 2017, the Mid-Term National Conference of the Association of Otolaryngologists of India, which welcomed hundreds of delegates from all over the country.

This academic event is also expected to attract a large number of ENT specialists and postgraduate students from within the state as well as outside of it.

Otorhinolaryngology is a field that has expanded tremendously over the past few years. It no longer involves just the treatment of ear, nose, and throat ailments but also deals with surgical conditions of the entire head and neck.

The Organizing Chairman Dr Vijendra Shenoy said, “This workshop will be an ode to the latest advances in surgical technique involved in Head and Neck Surgery.”

He further said, “We are excited to welcome members of our fraternity to this scientific gala, which will be a source of knowledge and inspiration to consultants and students alike.”

Among the attractions of this workshop, there will be live surgical demonstrations of challenging cases as well as lectures delivered by the esteemed guest faculty. The surgical procedures will be provided free of cost to the patients as a part of this event.
