The historic marathon, which is continuing without repeating either a song or a singer, is now approaching the halfway mark of its ambitious target. Upon completion, the event is expected to take Konkani language and culture to the global stage while bringing immense pride to Dakshina Kannada and Karnataka by setting a new world record.

Along with members of the local Konkani community from coastal Karnataka, large numbers of spectators, music enthusiasts and admirers of the Konkani language from across the state are arriving to witness this rare and historic event.

Several prominent personalities from the Konkani-speaking world have also visited the venue to extend their support and encouragement to the organisers, Mandd Sobhann, and the thousands of singers participating in this extraordinary endeavour.
