Kuwait: 6th Edition Eslinda Alemao Memorial Trophy to commence from 27th March

Kuwait: The 6th Edition of Eslinda Alemao Memorial Trophy 7-aside football tournament organized by Kuwait Goan Association (KGA) commences from Friday 27th March 2015 at Bayan Grounds. Matches will begin from 6:45 am onwards.

Draw of the tournament was held on the morning of 20th March 2015 at Bayan Grounds during the tournament organized by UG Strikers.

The mega event of Eslinda Memorial Trophy will be played under the auspices of Kuwait Indian Football Federation (KIFF).

Draw was held in presence of Aditya Mathew, Sales Marketing Manager – Mercedes Benz, Bangalore – India. Also present was B M Viegas, President of Kuwait Indian Football Federation (KIFF). Other dignitaries present were Tome Gracias, Lawrence Pinto and other officials of affiliated clubs.

KGA President Salvador Dias welcomed the teams, officials and distinguished guests. The draw was compered by Franwin Noronha. Flower bouquets were presented to the VIP guests by KGA President Salvador Dias.

18 KIFF affiliated clubs will take part in the tournament. The participating teams are AVC Sports & Cultural Association, Curtorcares United, D.H.L. Sports Club, Don Bosco Oratory, FC Sparx, Goan Overseas Association (Maroons), Goan Overseas Association (Yellow), Rising Stars, Rising Stars (Red), Indian Strikers, Malabar United, Navelim Youth Centre (NYC), Santos United, Skynet Raiders, Soccer Kerala, Kerala Challengers, United Goans Center (UG Strikers), and Kuwait Goan Association (KGA).

All matches will be played Friday morning at Bayan grounds. Final will be held on 10th April 2015 7pm at Bayan Grounds.

All matches will be officiated by Indian Football Referees Association (IFRA). All teams are requested to adhere the timings.

“As usual, we promise to organize the tournament on a grand scale,” quoted Kuwait Goan Association President Salvador Dias.

Incidentally, this year KGA celebrates its 10th Anniversary of existence in Kuwait. In a statement to the press, KGA president has extended an invitation to all affiliated teams, well-wishers and friends to witness the exciting tournament and final match.

Over the past years, KGA has built a solid foundation of history, strength and success which has become synonymous with expatriate Indians living in Kuwait.
