Laxman B Nimbargi assumes charge as Ballari SP
Ballari: Laxman B Nimbargi assumed charge as the new SP of Ballari district from the outgoing SP Arun Rangarajan in Ballari on Wednesday.
Later, speaking to reporters, Laxman Nimbargi stated that he had come to Ballari for the first time, and the transfer was affected in view of the Lok Sabha elections.
“I will acquaint myself with the problems of the district and take appropriate steps as per the law. I will endeavour to work as a pro-people police officer,” he said.
Laxman Nimbargi is the native of Benakanahalli in India taluk of Vijaypur district. He graduated as an engineer from Hubballi’s B V Bhoomaraddi College of Engineering and Technology. Before passing the UPSC examination through Kannada medium in 2014, he worked as a guest lecturer in KLE Society for some time.
He completed his probationary term in Mangaluru. Later, he worked as an additional SP in Chitradurga and SP in Udupi. Before being posted to Ballari, he was serving as SP in Wireless Division in Bengaluru.
