Life threat to Police Inspector, Two including Minor arrested
Mangaluru: The Cyber Crime police have arrested two youth on September 1, in connection with the life threat to police inspector Shantharam Kundar on August 26 2019.
The arrested has been identified as Mohammed Shafiq (20) from Bondanthila and another 17-year-old boy.
According to the police on August 26, at around 9:00 pm to 9:30 pm, the accused made a call to Police Inspector Shantharam regarding the protest against CAA and NRC, to his official number and threatened him with life. In this connection, Inspector Shantharam had filed a complaint in the Mangaluru East Police station.
The complaint was transferred to the Cyber Crime police for further investigations. On August 30, both the accused were arrested in Bondanthila.
Both the accused were produced before the court and remanded to Judicial custody.
Under the direction of Police Commissioner Vikas Kumar IPS and under the guidance of DCP crime and traffic Vinay Goanker, the operation was carried out by the Cyber Crime police inspector B C Girish, SI Rekha, Maya Prabhu, Vijay Shetty, Abhishek A R, Manjunath, Rajappa and Appanna.
