Locals Appreciate CP Dr Harsha for Good work During ‘My Beat My Pride’  Visit to Shaktinagar

Mangaluru: As part of “My Beat My pride”, police commissioner Dr Harsha visited beat number 20, Shaktinagar area to meet the civil beat members on October 14.

Commissioner of Police Dr Harsha along with the constable of Kankanady Police station Beat number 20, visited the Shaktinagar area where he met the people and explained to them the aim of “My Beat My pride” for a safe and crime-free society.

During the visit, Dr Harsha met Manjunath who is facing problems after a coconut fell on his house and he had filed a complaint. Dr Harsha inquired about the complaint and acknowledged it on the spot. Another resident Radhakrishna Navada had applied for a passport and his documents were verified on the spot.

The beat constable Madan briefed about the cases filed in the Kankanady Town police station limits 147/17, under section 341, 323, 325, 504, 506 IPC and 161/18 under Section 326, 504 and 506 and the progress in all the cases. The beat constable also informed about the charge sheets filed for the cases.

Under the Asha Kiran scheme, Rowdy Ganesh’s wife applied for Skill development training and the application was accepted by the Police commissioner. Dr Harsha also met the rowdy-sheeters Karthik, Prithviraj and Abhishek alias Mani from Neethi Nagar and adviced them to give up rowdyism and lead a normal life in the society.

Dr Harsha also met the beat members, autorickshaw drivers, shop owners and the public. Before leaving the area Dr Harsha visited the Police quarters and met PSI Traffic Sugumaran and PSI Sudeep and handed over the order papers for the newly constructed houses. The locals appreciated the “My beat My Pride” initiative by the police commissioner and his timely visit to the beat areas.
