Lockdown: Man attempts to Rape Woman Offering Lift on Bike in Brahmavar
Udupi: A unidentified man allegedly tried to rape a woman by taking her to an isolated place after offering her a lift in Brhamavar here on May 1.
According to the Brahmavar Police, a woman working in an apratment was returning home after work. While she was on her way home, near Shamili Shanya auditorium, Brahmavar, a man who came on a bike offered her a lift. Because of the Lockdown, the woman agreed to go with him on his bike and asked him to drop her at Santhkatte.
The man took a left turn near Heroor, took her to an isolated place and tried to rape her. The woman screamed to seek help and fled from the spot. She then filed a complaint in the Brahmavar Police Station.
As per the woman’s complaint, the Brahmavar Police have registered the case, and the investigation is on.
