Lockdown side effect: Frustrated at not getting alcohol, 68-year-old man Commits Suicide
Udupi: Frustrated with not being able to get liquor due to the lockdown, a 68-year-old man committed suicide at Kurkal under the Kaup police station Limits on March 30.
The deceased has been identified as Pandu Poojary (68) a resident of Kurkalu.
According to the police, Pandu was depressed as he was unable to get liquor for the last one week. Upset at not being able to drink, he allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself at his house.
A case has been registered in the Kaup Police Station.
