Malpe: Newborn Baby Found Abandoned by Roadside Near Hoode
Malpe: A newborn baby boy was found abandoned by the roadside at Hoode, within the limits of Malpe Police Station, on Monday, September 7 morning.
The infant, believed to have been born only a short while earlier, was found on a footpath leading to a house. Local residents noticed the baby and immediately rushed him to a hospital. Upon examination, doctors detected a heartbeat and shifted the newborn to a hospital in Udupi for further treatment.
Malpe police visited the spot for investigation. Police are currently examining CCTV footage from the surrounding area to gather information about the person or persons responsible for abandoning the newborn.
