Madhukar was taken to Government hospital for medical investigation.

Speaking to mangalorean.com, one of the parents whose son also travels to school in Madhukar’s vehicle said that Madhukar is a well mannered and caring driver. “He takes special care while dropping the children to school and also while bringing them back. It is the mistake of the mother who filed a wrong complaint.”

He also said that the girl had a fall in the school, but the school authorities failed to inform the girl’s parents. In the afternoon, while the mother was giving her a bath, the girl cried with pain. When asked, the girl said that she had a fall in the school. But when the mother shouted at the girl, the girl just said, “Uncle”. Misunderstanding the word uncle, the mother along with 4 men went to the school, thrashed Madhukar and later filed a complaint against him.

As soon as the news spread, people started to gather at the Ullal Police Station and the situation became tense in Ullal area. The police arrested four persons in connection with the assault on Madhukar. The angry mob later staged a protest in front of the Ullal Police Station and the Sahara hospital. Later, the girl was taken to the Lady Goschen hospital for a medical test.

The investigating officer also said that the investigation is going on and details will be revealed soon.

Speaking to mangalorean.com, Madhukar’s mother-in-law said that Madhukar is well mannered and has two children. “Why would he commit such a crime?” she questioned.
