Mangaluru- a ‘Smart City’, now a ‘Safe City’! Kudla Rated as One of the Safest Cities in the World

Mangaluru: Last October 2018, using data from Numbeo, it ranked 50 cities based on how they scored from a scale of 1 to 100, 100 being the safest, and Mangaluru was one among them. Numbeo’s database is fluid, with the data depending on the changing stats and reports on a given day, and that this ranking is based on data pulled on October 30, 2018. The numbers may have changed slightly since, and of course, there is also the chance that the situation in a given city has suddenly changed.

One of the biggest concerns for potential vacationers is whether or not the place they’ve chosen to visit will be safe. This concern has only grown in recent years, and it’s a good one to have. Travel safety is important. Depending on where you travel, you might have to consider any number of security concerns as a traveler. Even something as minor as having your pocket picked could ruin an entire vacation, and some attractive destinations carry with them much more serious risks. Some cities you may expect to see, but others may surprise you.

Seven of the safest 50 cities were located within the Middle East, whereas only two were in the United States. Romania and Canada, in particular, seems to be a safe bet for when you’re looking to travel, with three cities each on the list. So if you’re looking for a nice, stress-free vacation, Mangaluru is surely the safest 50 cities in the world for you to be.

And recently yet another survey conducted by ‘The Daily Meal’ website based in Chicago, USA ( a sister concern of the Daily Newspaper “The Chicago Tribune”). which features on food and travel has found that Mangaluru the only safest place for tourists in India. And it has also rated India among the 50 most safe places in the world. The rating were based on the details like problems posed by different cities to travelers, and which cities offer advantages to them etc, and thus Mangaluru was picked one among them as the safest city.

In the survey conducted by “The Daily Meal” website it had asked people to allot marks to cities on a scale of one to hundred-in the list of top cities as far as safety aspects are concerned, and Doha stood first, followed by Abu Dhabi, and Mangaluru got the 31st place in the list, securing 75.62 marks in the safety index. Mangaloreans should be proud of this safety Status of our Smart City, which is now a Safe City, but let us not anticipate any more of those moral policing and pub attacks, thereby once again put a black dot on the City map, like it did due to the 24 January 2009 pub attack. Let this “SMART CIT” remain as a “SAFE CITY” in the world forever!
