Mangaluru: A 24-year-old youth was attacked by three men at Santhosh Nagar, Moodsheddehere on March 23.
The injured has been identified as Arafat (24), a resident of Moodshedde.
Speaking to mangalorean.com, Arafat said, “I was returning home at 11:15 pm after attending a function at my relatives house which is near a mosque. When I reached near the mosque, three youth approached me, one of them slapped me and said, ‘Why are you roaming around?’ At the same time another youth assaulted me with sickle which was aimed at my neck, fortunately I was hit below the neck on my back. I ran towards the mosque and escaped from them.”
“Later, I informed my family and they brought me to the hospital.”
The three youth who had assaulted me are Vijith alias Podi, Vasanth and Jeevan.
A case has been registered in the Kavoor Police station.
