Mangaluru: Attempt to Murder near Court Premises – Two Youth arrested

Mangaluru: The Bunder police have arrested two youth from KSRTC bus stand on August 27, in connection with the attempt to murder at the court premises on August 19.

The arrested have been identified as Raison (21), a resident of Saripalla Kulshekar and Tushar (23) from Mogaveerpatna Ullal. Police are searching for the other accused Shylu Bajilkeri and Rahul Ullal.

On August 19, Nikhil Shetty and Shanmugam from Attavar had gone to the court premises at Kodialbail to find out the hearing date of a case related to Kaushik. After getting the date from the concerned authorities Nikhil and Shanmugam were both returning home to Attavar.

Suddenly a car belonging to Choni Someshwar hit Nikhil’s bike near the court premises. Both Nikhil and Shanmugam were thrown to the road. When they were trying to get up, three persons got down from the car and tried to assault them with a sword, but the sword slipped from their hand. When Rahul picked the sword and again attempted to assault them, the sword once again slipped from his hand. When Rahul was again going to pick the sword, Nikhil and Shanmugam ran for their life. They were later admitted to a local hospital.

Mean time the accused had fled from the spot. In this connection a case was registered in the Bunder police station. On August 27, when Raison and Tushar were roaming near the KSRTC bus stand they were arrested by the Bunder police.

Both the accused were produced before the second JMFC court where they were remanded to 15 days judicial custody. Search is on for the other accused.
