Mangaluru: DC Ibrahim Announces Holiday to Educational Institutions, Section 144 Imposed

Mangaluru: Deputy commissioner A B Ibrahim declared holiday to all schools and colleges on November 13 in connection with the murder of Harish at Vagga, Halegate Bantwal Taluk here on November 12.

Harish was killed by unidentified individuals when he was going home along with his friend Samiulla. When they were going home, a group came in a Santro car and stabbed Harish and Samiulla.
DC Ibrahim visited A J Hospital. Speaking to mangalorean.com, DC Ibrahim said, “In connection with the murder of Harish in Vagga, we have imposed Section 144 for 24 hours in the district, which will be extended if necessary. On November 13, all educational institutions will remain closed. There will not be any celebrations or any public meetings in the district.”

He further said that the DGP, Home department and intelligence have been informed of the situation and additional police force will be deployed throughout the district.
Police commissioner S Murugan, ACP Tilakchandra and other police officers also reached the hospital.
