On February 23, the college authority informed the parents of all the six students and called them to the college to discuss the issue. A special committee has been formed to investigate the matter. The college administration also sent a letter to the Students Welfare Officer in Mangaluru University. Members of the Akhila Bharata Vidhyarti Parishat gave a memorandum to the Principal to debar the students from the college.

During the meeting, the college administration and the committee decided to suspend all the six students from the college. Simultaneously, the investigation will continue to find out the people behind this. During the meeting, one of the parents collapsed after hearing the story of her daughter, who was one among the six. She has been hospitalized.

ACP Ravikumar, representatives from Mangaluru University and the Tahsildar arrived to the college during the meeting. The student who was thrashed by a group was sitting next to the girls. The college authority did not take any action against him but advised him to meet the committee for his statement. All the six students are studying in final year BCA.

Speaking to the mediapersons, the Principal of the college said that the girls did not inform them about the photograph. “We came to know about it through the media, it is a shame for the college. The ABVP and other students organization demanded to debar the students who brought shame to the college through their irresponsible act but at this time it is not possible to debar the students from the college. We will take this issue seriously and investigate it.”
