Mangaluru: Maestro Titans to Release Jersey and Theme Song of ‘MPL T-20’ on Dec 10

India, where cricket is considered to be a religion hosts the world’s richest cricket tournament, the Indian Premier League. Karnataka Premier League is a similar tournament at the state level. These tournaments have managed to entertain the spectators from all over the nation. Now a similar tournament is coming up to thrill the spectators in the coastal city of Mangaluru. The Mangalore Premier League will be hosted at the NMPT cricket stadium, Panambur in the city from December 13 to 26.

Canyut Fernandes, Owner of Maestro Corporation has purchased the Cricket Franchise “Maestro Titans” in the upcoming Mangalore Premier League, the Biggest T-20 Cricket Festival in Mangaluru is scheduled to be held at the NMPT ground, Panambur, Mangaluru from 13 to 26th December 2015.

Karnataka Regional Cricket Academy under the guidance of Karnataka Cricket Association will be organizing “Mangalore Premier League (MPL)-T20 cricket tournament, as a platform for talented cricketers to compete at the state and national levels.”

“The passion for franchise cricket in India is evident with the success of IPL and KPL. Canyut Fernandes, who is the first MPL owner to own a team, says it is just a step in his vision to Promote Local Talents to International Level and he is thrilled to become part of the cricketing tradition of Mangaluru.

The Maestro Titans unit boasts a galaxy of known Players who have played for The State as well as KPL. Sinan Abdul Khader (Namma Shivamogga in KPL) and Akshay Ballal (Mangalore United in KPL) to name a few. The Jersey and the theme song will be released on December 10, at City Centre Mall.

MPL will provide launching pad for players from Mangaluru. There is also a chance of them being scouted by major premier leagues. With this exposure there is a bright future for the city to see the likes of KL Rahul emerge from the city. So if you are a cricket enthusiast from Mangaluru, you don’t need to go all the way to Bengaluru to watch a top class cricket match.
